Is massage good for your health?

The answer to that is a resounding YES!

Am I talking about relaxation and a sense of calm?

Well, yes these are common results from massages, and they are fantastic for your physical and mental health, however there are even MORE health benefits from massage including;

💪 Reduced muscle tension (get rid of that “tight” feeling)
🫀Improved circulation (get that blood flowing)
🤸‍♀️Increased joint mobility and flexibility (you may not be doing cartwheels but your joints should move more freely)
❤️‍🩹 Less pain and soreness (for chronic pain, post workout pain, or injury specific pain)
🧘 Reduced stress hormones (not just feeling calm, but being calm in your body)
😴 Better quality of sleep (bring on those sweet dreams!)
♾️ Stimulated lymphatic system (encourages the flow of lymphatic fluid)
😷 Strengthened immune response (more protection against illness)

Plus, my favourite, the activation of the parasympathetic nervous system. Switching off the bodies fight or flight response, and replacing it instead with the rest and digest response.
